Job Summary
A Laboratory Technician performs sample testing, prepares laboratory equipment, records data, and supports scientists or quality teams in conducting experiments and examinations. They ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with laboratory procedures across different industries such as medical, chemical, food, environmental, or manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct tests, analyses, and experiments according to standard laboratory procedures.
- Collect, label, document, and store samples properly.
- Operate laboratory instruments such as microscopes, spectrometers, analyzers, and pH meters.
- Record test results accurately and maintain laboratory logs.
- Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and test materials.
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and handle hazardous materials responsibly.
