  • 2 medium potatoes, quartered (optional)
  • Fish sauce (patis) to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add beef shank and boil for 10 minutes to remove impurities. Drain and rinse.
  2. Refill pot with clean water. Add beef shank, onion, and peppercorns.
