Affidavit of Employment: Meaning, Purpose, and Sample Form
An Affidavit of Employment is a sworn legal document executed to formally declare that a person is currently employed or has been employed by a specific company or individual. This affidavit is commonly required when an official Certificate of Employment is unavailable or when a sworn statement is specifically requested by an institution.
It is often used for bank transactions, loan applications, visa or travel requirements, school enrollment, housing applications, and government-related purposes. Since it is executed under oath, all statements made in this affidavit must be truthful and accurate.
When Is an Affidavit of Employment Required?
An Affidavit of Employment is commonly required for the following purposes:
