HOW TO USE VENTOY TO CREATE BOOTABLE FLASHDRIVE

HOW TO USE VENTOY

Ventoy is an open-source tool used to create a bootable USB drive that can hold multiple ISO files (multi-boot). You don’t need to reformat or make a bootable USB every time you add a new ISO — you just copy and paste!

STEP 1: Download Ventoy

  1. Go to the official Ventoy website.
  2. Click on Downloads.
  3. Choose the version for your operating system (usually Windows): ventoy-x.x.xx-windows.zip
  4. Extract the ZIP file using WinRAR, 7-Zip, etc.

STEP 2: Prepare the USB Drive

⚠️ All files on your USB will be erased, so make sure to back them up first.

  1. Plug your USB drive into your PC.
  2. Open the Ventoy folder and run Ventoy2Disk.exe as Administrator.
  3. Select the USB drive from the dropdown list.
  4. Click Install (you'll be asked twice to confirm).
  5. Once the installation is done, your USB is now “Ventoy-enabled.”

STEP 3: Add ISO Files

  1. Open the USB drive (like a regular flash drive).
  2. Copy and paste the ISO files you want to boot (e.g., Windows 10 ISO, Ubuntu ISO, etc.).
    • You can add more than one ISO file.

STEP 4: Boot from the USB

  1. Restart your PC and enter the Boot Menu (usually F12, F2, ESC, or DEL depending on your device brand).
  2. Select the USB device.
  3. When it boots, you’ll see the Ventoy menu, where you can choose which ISO file to boot.

📝 Tips:

  • Works with Windows, Linux, rescue disks, and more.
  • You can update Ventoy on the USB without erasing your ISO files.
  • Supports Ventoy plugins for advanced features (e.g., password protection, auto-install scripts, etc.).
